Baseballtown Charities is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded to keep baseball alive in Reading so youngsters can benefit from the many life lessons the game teaches.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to all the necessary resources to play baseball. Fields, umpires, uniforms, and equipment cost money that some people simply do not have to spend on such things. Baseballtown Charities is dedicated to enabling Reading and Berks county children to continue to play ball, regardless of the financial situation in their area.

The majority of fundraising comes from memorabilia auctions, corporate donations, Baseballtown events such as High School All-Star and Championship games, and the “King of Baseballtown” dinner.

Baseballtown Charities completed its dream project in 2006 - Gordon Hoodak Stadium at Lauer’s Park, sure to help revitalize and reclaim a part of the City of Reading and its long baseball history.

Thanks to all the fans that support Baseballtown Charities, all of whom are vital to keeping baseball alive in Reading and Berks County.
